Scott’s (London, UK)
I’ve already written about Scott’s about half a year ago, so it probably wasn’t writing about it again so soon. We returned for a festive night out - notable, at one point we had nine drinks sitting around the table, even though there were only three of us, and we hadn’t even bothered ordering food yet.
Hawksmoor on Air Street (London, UK)
A classic Sunday roast recovering from a hangover at a classic British steakhouse.
45 Jermyn Street (London, UK)
I’ll have to come back and do a full writeup sometime, but a classic British Fare with a strong Irish Breakfast tea - A Welsh rarebit, Portland dressed crab and calves liver on mash.
The Drawing Room at the OWO (London, UK)
More British comfort foods - a light cheesy Stilton souffle, Dover Sole (on the bone this time), and a perfect profiterole for dessert.
Big JJ Seafood Hotpot Restaurant (Hong Kong)
As old school as they come. Literally called “Big Dick” restaurant in Cantonese, this is no-frills, cheap, classic working class fare. Less than two minutes from ordering to on a plate in front of you, the name of the game is speed and high turnover.
