Not a lot this month. It’s been relatively quiet on both the dining and travel front. Will likely be a bit quiet until mid year, when I head to London and maybe North America. In Singapore for the next few days, so will hit a few new restaurants I haven’t been to before.
Singapore is really great for food - from the hawker stalls all the way to the super high end, it showcases the culinary melting pot of Southeast Asia, as well as getting high end chefs from Europe setting up shop. Outside of Cantonese cooking, where ultimately, Hong Kong is the 900 pound gorilla, I would say Singapore is probably the single best food destination I’ve been to in Southeast Asia.
Blue Supreme (Hong Kong)
One of the very few brunch places in Hong Kong that reminds me of my time living in New York.
The Steak House (Hong Kong)
A return to The Steak House for a giant tomahawk. Unfortunately, it looked better than it tasted. I still think the sides are what make this restaurant worth going to.
I need to revisit Blue Supreme... fun spot
